New committee members chosen for 2025
The SHCG marked the commencement of 2025 by holding our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 11 February 2025. As is customary, all positions on the SHCG executive were declared vacant and nominations were called for persons wishing to fill the five executive positions for 2025.
At the conclusion of the process the following persons were elected
- Chairperson – Tony Crimmins
- Vice-Chairperson – Janet Granek
- Secretary – Deena Gilroy
- Treasurer – Louise Bonney
- Public Officer – Richard Collins
Tony and Janet were both members of the executive in 2024 and it was great to welcome three new members Deena, Louise and Richard to the committee.
Special thanks go out to Ray Fowke and Briony Magoffin for the huge contribution they have made to the Executive over the past couple of years and who elected to take a well earned break from SHCG executive committee roles.
Following the AGM, the first regular meeting of the SHCG 2025 was held. One of the items for discussion was the proposal to only meet every second month rather than every month as has been the practice in the past in order cut down on meeting related administrative duties.
It was decided to trial this approach for the first half of the year and review it at our meeting 10 June
Meeting dates for the first half of 2025 will therefore be as follows: –
11 February 2025
8 April 2025
10 June 2025
Should matters arise between these dates that require the attention of the executive they will be either dealt with out of session (via email) or a special meeting called. Persons wishing to raise matters with the SHCG Executive can do so directly with Executive Members or via email scottsheadcommunitygroup@gmail.com.
